Make them love doing homework!

Language is a thought and communication tool, as well as a cultural and visual way for people to make sense of their surroundings. Learning to use language effectively allows students to gain knowledge, express their identity, sentiments, and thoughts, and interact with others. It also provides learners with a rich, powerful, and deeply rooted set of images and ideas that can be used to change, improve, and understand their world.

The primary goal of reading poetry and literature in the classroom is to help students become sensitive to a particular use of language that is more creative, figurative, symbolic, and more meaningful than most other texts they may encounter.

Learn with Oxford offers content from our Oxford English Grammar, Oxford Exam Success, and Oxford English Grammar Poetry series, among others for grade 10-12.

The Oxford Exam Success Guides is useful for helping learners succeed in their final literature exams, this series provides a plot summary in comic form, useful notes on characters and themes, exam-style contextual and essay questions and answers in clear, easy-to-understand language.
