OUP is committed to being a responsible publisher, and to acting in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a signatory to the SDG Publishers Compact, we have made a commitment to promote and acquire content that advocates for SDG themes, to raise awareness about the SDGs among our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, and to take action on the SDGs in our own organization.

We are focusing our efforts on the eight SDGs where we feel we can make the most difference:

  • SDG3: Good Health & Wellbeing
  • SDG4: Quality Education
  • SDG5: Gender Equality
  • SDG8: Decent Work & Economic Growth
  • SDG10: Reduced Inequalities
  • SDG12: Responsible Production & Consumption
  • SDG13: Climate Action
  • SDG15: Life on Land.
